TERRA DI CASTEANI

Terra di Casteani is the Grand Vin of our Estate. Our Supertuscan wine, obtained from an accurate manual selection of Sangiovese and Merlot grapes picked in the best parcels of our Vineyard. This wine contains the double soul of Maremma’s land: a region devoted to be the home of native grapes, like Sangiovese, but also meant to successfully cultivate other international grapes, like Merlot. The constant sea breeze and the peculiar soil, rich of clay which is important to preserve the humidity, makes the grape able to enjoy the heat avoiding rile danger of damages.

Terra di Casteani offers deep scents of darle ripe fruits like black cherries, pomegranate, blackcurrant and tobacco leaves, cocoa powder and roots. The long persistence of silky tannins leaves a pleasant feeling of savory fullness.

Perfectly paired with game, stew and aged cheese.
